General Description:
Achilles is as much an attitude as a product––the idea of a bean as strong as a warrior, with a calm nutty aroma, but with a little Flexible acid. It’s like a brave but agile soldier on the battlefield. The flavor will be different every harvest year, eve in the same producing area. Achilles will change over time, but its consistency as a brave warrior remains.
Juan Contreras’ farm is located in the Miraflores district of Honduras and processed at the nearby St. Vincent plant, which has produced numerous winners of Honduras COE competitions.
Introduced into Honduras from El Salvador in 1974, the Pacas variety of Bourbon beans produced here is a natural mutation that preserves its characteristic lingering sweetness.
