General Description: Colombia’s superior geography and climatic conditions has allowed it to always maintain high quality bean output. Huila is grown in the Laboyos Valley, in the south of Vera Province, on small farms (5 hectare lots) affiliated with the National Federation of Colombian Coffee Growers.
The volcanic soil in this region provides plenty of organic nutrients for this high altitude coffee. Huila is known for its distinctive roasted aroma and fruity brightness, with a rich, bittersweet aftertaste.
“Supremo” beans are the nation’s top grade, containing the largest, plumpest beans, with the lowest amount of debris and defects.
